Big bold structure with an Oregon elegance. Flavors of ripe black currants, blackberries follow cherries and toasty oak. This dry wine has a medium to full body that showcases a beautiful blend of fruit & spice.
VINEYARD: The unique microclimate and volcanic soils provide the foundation for the caliber of fruit that allows Agate Ridge to produce highly esteemed award winning wine for nearly a decade. Our wines highlight the diversity that can only be found here in the Rogue Valley.
WINEMAKING: All our fruit is hand harvested bin by bin and sent to our winery within an hour from being removed from the vine. We de-stemmed this fruit into fermentation bins where they aged on their skins for one month. After skin aging they were pressed into barrel and aged in French Oak for 20 months.
VINTAGE NOTES: The 2010 growing season in the rogue valley was optimal with long hot days and even nights producing well structured and mature fruits.
STATISTICS: pH 3.25 | Alc 14.2%
