2012 Sauvignon Blanc
Fresh Crisp Rogue Sauvignon Blanc
VINEYARD | WINEMAKING | VINTAGE NOTES | STATISTICS | PAIRING
Our Sauvignon Blanc opens with aromas of fresh cut grass, cilantro, lemon zest and white tropical fruits. The palate echoes these elements and balances rich minerality with zippy acidity, with a long refreshing tropical fruit finish.
VINEYARD: 2012 Sauvignon Blanc is 100% estate grown fruit. Produced from the Musquee clone. Agate Ridge is currently growing five acres of Viognier in block 35.
WINEMAKING: All our fruit is hand harvested bin by bin and sent to our press within an hour from being removed from the vine. We whole cluster pressed this fruit directly into stainless steel tanks, then inoculated with alchemy 1 yeast. This wine was cold fermented at 58 degree F for 40 days.
VINTAGE NOTES: The growing season of 2011 was optimum, with long and warm nights leading to a late but quality harvest. The 2011 wines are fruit forward, lush and well structured.
STATISTICS: pH 3.32 | Alc 14.2%
